Dress Code

General Information

The Management and Match Committees reserve the right to alter or delete these rules at any time.  Should changes occur during the year notices detailing such changes will be posted on the club notice board.

Dress Requirements

In order to avoid embarrassment to themselves or their guests all members, caddies and visitors are urged to dress in good taste at all times and so uphold the standards of the club. The Committee requires the following guidelines be regarded as the minimum acceptable standards.

Juniors

Dress requirements as for Seniors.

On Course

Golf Shoes must be Non-Metal Spikes ONLY. Any non-regulation footwear likely to damage greens will be prohibited.

Men

Golf attire should at all times be neat, tidy and comfortable. Shorts are to be worn with sports socks, which are to be predominantly white. Shirts must be either, collared or mock turtle, and must be tucked in unless specifically designed to be worn out.

Not Acceptable

BLUE DENIM (Jeans or shorts), BIKE PANTS, BOARD SHORTS, SHORTS OR PANTS WITH DRAWSTRING WAISTS, SINGLETS, T SHIRTS, WORK SHIRTS, RUBBER THONGS, SANDALS, ANY NON-REGULATION FOOTWEAR LIKELY TO DAMAGE THE GREENS.

Women

Golf attire should at all times be neat, tidy and comfortable. Shirts must be either, collared or mock turtle, slacks, ¾ slacks, divided skirts and shorts. 

Not Acceptable – Players/Caddies

BLUE DENIM SHORTS OR JEANS, TRACKSUIT PANTS, LEGGINGS, BATHERS, BOARD SHORTS, SUN TOPS, WORK SHIRTS, THONGS, SANDALS

In The Clubhouse

Neat Causal Dress is required at the club at all times

 The Clubs expectations of neat casual dress are:

  • Work clothes that are not torn or dirty
  • Non-collared shirts are acceptable as long as they do not show bold offensive logo’s or ripped of an untidy nature.
  • Dress sandals are seen as acceptable.
  • Non-spiked golf shoes are allowed throughout the clubhouse
  • Jeans that are of a neat attire

There will be times where the club will require a higher standard of dress at some functions, this will be advised to members before these events.

Short Visits to the Club

When visiting the club for a short period of time (5-10 minutes), eg. to visit the Golf Centre or Office; it is permissible for members to be dressed in what could reasonably be deemed “street attire” in accordance with contemporary community standards.

THE USE OF CLUB FACILITIES, INCLUDING THE COURSE WILL BE DENIED ANY PERSON SPOKEN TO WITH REGARD TO UNACCEPTABLE DRESS STANDARD OR APPEARANCE UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THEY ARE ATTIRED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CLUB STANDARDS.
