Footy Tipping 2025

Footy Tipping 2025

28th March 2025

Greetings Punters,

Just a quick heads up, there are quite a few punters left to submit their Derby tip and margin, so don’t miss the chance to get among the cash.  Also, don’t forget to nominate your  Grand Final winner and margin, still a couple of weeks to go there but.

The big money is on a Freo derby win (go figure) but is there an upset in the offing, the Bombers certainly showed that anything is possible!!!

Good luck tippers

Cheers and beers

Ted

Fresh from a very satisfying afternoon in Bunbury watching the mighty West Coast Eagles taking victory over the Kanga’s at Hands Oval, just a quick heads up for any who are yet to re-register for this year, opening round begins on Thursday night which is but 4 sleeps away WOOOHOOOO!!!

As was the case last year, there are only 4 games to choose from in the opening round, consequently a weekly prize will not be awarded in the opening round and we will commence that with round 1 as per the below

  • For you “newbies” out there, a weekly prize of $20 will be awarded to any punter picking all 9 (or 6 as the case may be) winners.  In the event of no one picking 9, the $20 jackpots and in recent years, this has built up to quite a pot at times!  Should we have multiple tippers pick 9, the outright winner will be determined by the punter who is has picked the nearest margin in the first game of that round, so don’t forget to select your margin!
  • We will have a $50 prize for both Western Derbies, chose the team you expect to win and the winning margin, (nearest the margin wins, multiple winners will share the prize)
  • The Anzac day game (Coll v Essendon) will also attract a prize of $50 and again, chose your team and the winning margin  (nearest the margin wins, multiple winners will share the prize)
  • This knockout comp is back.  The idea is, pick the team you think will definitely win (on itipfooty there is a space provided)  If your pick is correct, you are still in the knockout, if your team loses, ahh yup, you are knocked out…Simples!)  the last punter standing will be awarded a prize, yet to be determined.
  • I am still working through a couple of other incentives to make the season a bit more interesting and I am confident we will once again have the generous support of the Club and Management in helping with this.

I will let you all know what the prize break down looks like as we get to the start and have a better idea of numbers and of course the pot available.

Thank you all once again for getting on board this year, looking forward to bringing you the season with assistance from my new besty Kizzma Rump

Cheers and beers all

Ted

Notice of Special General Meeting – Wednesday 5th March 2025

Notice of Special General Meeting – Wednesday 5th March 2025

Dear Members

The Board is pleased to present the notice of a Special General Meeting, to be held Wednesday 5th March 2025 at 5:30pm.

Under the MCC Club Constitution 16.k, the Board is required to hold a Special General Meeting to gain member approval to spend more than 200 times the annual Ordinary Member Subscription Fee in any one project for the Club.

The Irrigation replacement project has been many years in the making, with the funds now available for this important project to be completed. The Board believe we have negotiated not just a very good contract, but one that is financially advantageous to commit to now, before price increases are due again April 1.

An explanation of the project forms part of the Notice, we look forward to your support.

If you have questions or queries, please make arrangements to clarify these with our General Manager, Grant.

Kind Regards

Ron Stone, President
