Dear Members,
The Constitution of the Mandurah Country Club was totally re-written and updated in 2023 and subsequently approved by members at a special meeting on 22 August 2023.
The major project for the Governance Committee this year has been to review and to update the By Laws, so they reflect the Constitution and manner in which the Club is governed.
These By Laws have now been completed and approved by the Board of Directors. They are available on the web site under the “About Us” section. You can also request a hard copy at the office.
These updated By Laws provide greater detail on the roles and responsibilities of Directors as well as the Sub Committees they Chair. There is also now a Code of Conduct for Board Members and Sub Committee Members. The By Laws also detail the election process of Captains and Vice Captains.
Finally, I would like to thank all that have assisted in the review and completion of this project over the last 6 months.
