With a couple of upsets handed out, it seemed that 9 was again a bridge too far for tippers so we have jackpotted this week, sending the purse up to $40. There were quite a few of us, 15 in fact, who managed a very creditable 7, (I can say that cause I was one ). There were 19 of us who managed a respectable 6 correct tips, while a further 10 could manage only 5. Oh my, there were even 9 of us secured a miserly 4 correct tips, including one tipper in particular who I really shouldn’t mention, but I am sure he knows who he is !
And so, to our leaderboard, now call it treachery, unfaithfulness or simply clever, but out in front with a lead of 2 and sitting on 53 tips is Chip63, who’s unwavering support for his beloved purple princesses, is left wanting at the tipper’s door. He is hotly pursued by Bardy and Weescot both on 51 and as the field starts to spread, S Brennan, Kaydee, Puckers12, Sharzyt, Morgo36, Howsthat, Back2Backin24 and Mark Campbell all sit on 50 leading the peloton on pretty much rounding out our top 10 (11 in fact).
We are down to 3 tippers left in the Knockout comp, Morgo, Haynesworld and Cheryhawk all still duking it out for the knockout!
Ok folks, Friday night at the club has again jackpotted, its well worth a trip to the club for a pint and a meal, meat raffle, chase the ace and tipping prize all to be won, not too mention great food, cold beer and good company, sounds good to me!!The Weekly prize sits at $40 so don’t forget to get your tips in and until next week may your tipping be inspired, I have heard that Peter Dutton is now offering tipping advice to anyone who is interested YIKES!!!!

The Meat Raffle was won by Merv Lambert.
The Lucky Members Draw was Kevin Savell. Kevin was not in attendance so the Members Draw JACKPOTS to $775.00
Chase the Ace, was drawn by Vanessa Day. Vanessa selected three of Diamonds, the JACKPOT will be for $1500 for 9 May 2025.
The new Footy Tipping Member Draw – Grant Shortland-Jones name was drawn, Grant was not in attendance so the amount will JACKPOT to $120.00.

Course Winter Care Program
Please note that during the next week or so we will be commencing our Course Winter Care Program. Some areas of the course are showing signs of wear due to the amount of traffic we are experiencing, so to help these areas, the ground staff will be erecting traffic direction signs, roped off areas, hoops & lines etc over the next few weeks. Coming into winter, these actions are essential to keep our course in great condition & we ask all players to avoid areas that are showing signs of wear.

After a successful redesign and laying of new grass, this green will be returned to play on Monday 5th May. The areas of re-laid turf at the front of the green will be GUR until such time as the grass has fully taken.
We thank Stewart and his staff for the prompt and professional way they have worked to get this green back in play as quickly as they did.
